Route 991B links National Highway 51 with the Cai Mep – Thi Vai port system, opening a further container freight route away from National Highway 51, which is already overloaded. It is one of the routes on which TDC acted as consultant within its group of inter-port and coastal road projects — works that cross soft riverside ground and call for careful geotechnical survey and ground treatment.
