Ho Chi Minh City Transportation Consulting Joint Stock Company (abbreviated as TDC) is a specialist transport consultancy with many years of experience, whose quality and reputation have built a leading brand in the southern region and throughout Vietnam.

In terms of business lines, TDC concentrates on survey, design and construction supervision consultancy for transport and technical infrastructure works. Alongside these core activities, TDC is always ready to meet project owners’ requirements for other consultancy services such as: planning, construction quality inspection, preparation and appraisal of construction bidding documents, design appraisal, construction of transport works, the application and transfer of scientific advances, and trial construction using advanced building technologies.

National highway projects designed and supervised by TDC, such as NH1, NH14, NH18, NH20, NH51, NH55 and NH56, have met the requirements of their project owners. Other road works for which TDC acts as consultant comply with the technical regulations and standards in force, and achieve the best quality during construction.

In 2013, building on the results of the World Bank National Road Network Maintenance Project (years 2, 3 and 3.2), for which Project Management Unit 2 of the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam was the project owner, TDC was again entrusted by Project Management Unit 3 with the survey of almost 400 km of national highway under the VRAMP project.

In the waterways sector, the survey and design of inland waterway ports and specialised ports is also a strength of TDC, with works such as the Cau Da wharf at Bai Truoc in Vung Tau City, Ben Dam Port in Con Dao, Lo Voi Fishing Port and Cai Mep Petroleum Port.

TDC also places particular emphasis on researching and developing advanced technologies for survey and design work, so that projects achieve the highest quality and economic efficiency. Examples are large and complex projects such as: the Cai Mep – Thi Vai inter-port road in Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province; the Dung Quat – Sa Huynh coastal road in Quang Ngai Province; the technical infrastructure of Dat Do 1 Industrial Park; and Road 991B.

TDC’s work is not confined to Vietnam. Its first overseas project was a study on infrastructure development for Champasak Industrial Park in Laos, followed by other projects in Enugu State, Nigeria. Besides working with leading domestic consultants such as TEDI, TEDISOUTH and PORTCOAST, the company also cooperates with international consultants including Egis BCEOM of France, KG of Korea and ChoDai of Japan.

For these results, the company has been awarded many distinctions over the years, including certificates of merit and emulation flags from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, the Provincial People’s Committee and the Ministry of Transport, as well as the Labour Order, Third Class for the period 1997-2004 & the Labour Order, Second Class for the period 2005-2010.
