The project has a total investment of nearly VND 800 billion and is expected to be completed and put into operation on 2 September 2014, with capacity to serve 1,000 passengers at peak hour (equivalent to 2–2.5 million passengers per year), and to accommodate 4 aircraft of types A320–A321, ATR72 or equivalent.

The project is designed by the CPG-PAE consortium. This is a consortium of specialised airport consultants from Singapore and the United States, which has undertaken planning, project preparation and design consultancy for many major airports worldwide. The new terminal is designed in synchrony and harmony with the natural landscape and meets local planning and construction requirements. At the same time, it can meet future upgrading needs, opening additional domestic routes and medium-range international routes to Bangkok (Thailand), Vientiane (Laos), Cambodia, Hainan (China) and so on.

The existing passenger terminal meets 4C airport standards and can accommodate aircraft types A320, A321, Boeing 737-400 and equivalents. Currently, Vinh Airport has routes Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh – Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi – Vinh – Ha Noi, Vinh – Buon Ma Thuot – Vinh, and Vinh – Da Nang – Vinh with a frequency of 20 take-offs and landings per day, operated by airlines Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific Airlines and Vietjet Air.

Source: Ha Noi Moi

Deputy Minister Phạm Quý Tiêu Attends Groundbreaking of the “Passenger Terminal – Vinh Airport” Investment and Construction Project 26 April 2013, 10:28 GMT+7 On 26 April, in Vinh City (Nghe An Province), Airports Corporation of Vietnam under the Ministry of Transport held the groundbreaking ceremony for the “Passenger Terminal – Vinh Airport” investment and construction…

[64

post-1415","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-transport-sector-news","category-64","description-off
["GET
